FAQ

What is the difference between Collagen Deluxe and Repair?
Deluxe contains 12,500 mg of hydrolyzed marine collagen while Repair contains 10,000 mg. Other than that, they have exactly the same ingredients and ingredient levels.

Does Vegan have the same effect as Deluxe and Repair?
Collagen contains 19 amino acids, some of which are particularly crucial. Collagen Vegan contains a high concentration of precisely these amino acids, which in Collagen Vegan are 100% plant-based. Other than that, Collagen Vegan contains the same vitamins and minerals as Collagen Deluxe and Collagen Repair, such as a high amount of D-Biotin, vitamin C, B12 and D3 as well as zinc, msm and hyaluronic acid. A total of 21 active ingredients work together to boost collagen levels in the body.

How often should I take it for best effect?
We recommend a daily dose of 25 ml, where compliance (daily intake over time) is crucial for maximum effect. There are also other lifestyle factors that affect the well-being of the skin, hair and nails, such as smoking, diet and UVA/UVB radiation. With a daily dose of collagen, well-balanced nutritious diet, high sun protection and by avoiding smoking, you get the absolute best effect.

When will I see results?
When results start to appear is highly individual because factors such as age, lifestyle and how you take care of your skin in general also come into play. But in general, results with daily intake are usually visible within eight weeks.

Where does your collagen come from?
Our products Collagen Deluxe and Collagen Repair contain marine collagen from the scales on fish. The collagen is hydrolysed into peptides with a molecular weight of 2000 Da to ensure optimal absorbability. The hydrolysis process makes the collagen completely odorless and tasteless.

Does it taste like fish?
No, the collagen in our products is hydrolysed, which removes all odor and taste. Instead, Collagen Repair, Deluxe and Vegan have a natural taste of wild berries, which we add after the hydrolysis process. Collagen Pure is unflavored.

How long does a bottle last?
A bottle of 500 ml lasts for 20 days, at a recommended daily intake of 25 ml. Unopened bottles last two years if stored cool and out of sunlight. Store the opened bottle in the refrigerator and use within 2 months.

What is collagen?
Collagen is a body-specific protein that makes up the largest part of the body's structure and is one of the building blocks of, among other things, skin, muscles, ligaments, tendons, hair and nails. With age, the body's production of collagen decreases, causing the skin to lose its elasticity and volume, the hair to become thinner and the nails to become more brittle. By regularly ingesting collagen, you boost the body's levels of collagen and can thus slow down the aging of the skin.

What time of day is it best to take Swedish Collagen?
You can take our collagen supplements at the time that suits you best. Our products have been developed to be easily integrated into your routine. This is precisely why the collagen is absorbed by the body in an optimal way, regardless of whether it is taken in the morning or in the evening, in connection with food or on an empty stomach. The important thing is that it is taken daily.

Our liquid products contain vitamin B, a valuable source of energy. For people who are more sensitive to this dose of energy from vitamin B, we recommend to take it in the morning and not in the evening.

Can I get too much collagen?
Yes, but it takes quite a lot. 25 ml/day of Collagen Deluxe (12,500 mg) gives you a generous but safe amount of collagen.

Does collagen help with dry skin?
Collagen gives smoother and less dry skin. This is because the collagen peptides activate the skin's fibroblast cells to produce hyaluronic acid, which binds moisture in the skin. Our products also contain additional hyaluronic acid that boosts the effect further, as well as vitamins and minerals that stimulate the skin to produce more collagen.

How can collagen also affect hair and nails?
Collagen is a body-specific protein that makes up the largest part of the body's structure and is one of the building blocks of, among other things, skin, hair and nails. With age, the body's production of collagen decreases, causing not only the skin but also the hair to lose its elasticity and become thinner.

The collagen levels also affect the nails, which become more brittle when the collagen levels are lowered. By regularly ingesting collagen, you boost the body's collagen levels and can thus maintain elasticity not only in the skin, but also in hair and nails.

What does it mean that the collagen is hydrolyzed?
In the hydrolysis process, the collagen is broken down into tiny, tiny collagen peptides that are easier for the body to absorb. The process also makes the collagen tasteless and odorless.
